Remembering Colin Paton

I just heard the sad news this week that Colin Paton passed away on the 9th of December. Those of you who have been skating since the old Factory days will remember Colin Paton and his involvement in both the Stobswell and Nethergate skater-built Factories.

I spoke to Colin’s Mum Marilyn on the phone for quite a while reminiscing about the old Factory days and about how much of a positive influence skating was in Colin’s life.

His funeral is to be at the Dundee Crematorium on Friday 17th December at 12.30p.m, all are welcome and no black needs to be worn unless it is a personal preference. Family flowers only and donations collected will be for the benefit of the Craig McKnight Memorial extension for Dudhope Skatepark and the Factory Skatepark.

If anyone has any photographs of Colin then I know that his Mum Marilyn would love to be able to see them.
